The Mrs is taking me to Bath for the weekend...
She brought me an EOS300D for xmas, which promptly broke on Xmas day( I wont go into details, but if anyone wants to know, there's a thread on here)...

Anyway, at it's effectively my Birthday weekend, it's all about me, so I want to take a few piccies, I have had very limited use of the camera, so it will probably be a massive learning curve for me.
I had a tripod, a remote control, and an 18-55 lens, and would love to get into long night exposures.
Hoping to get to the Clifton Suspension Bridge, can anyone suggest other locations that may be worth a look?

Bath Half Marathon on Sunday, so be prepared for road closures around the centre and surrounding areas.

I suppose that'll provide you with something to take pictures of biggrin

I'm sure you realise that the Clifton Suspension Bridge isn't in Bath but just wanted to make sure...

Bath obvious stuff:

Royal Crescent
Circus
Roman Baths
Abbey
Weir
Pultney Bridge
Great Pultney Street

Places in Bath to avoid with an expensive camera:

Twerton
Odd Down
Englishcombe

I've been to Bath many times, never really taken a photo I liked. Converting what you see with your eyes into something decent through the lens can be remarkably hard I find.

I've taken a couple with the Holga I can just about live with.

Don't forget to get a picture of Gay Street!
