My father's cooker apparently is not cooking stuff properly in the oven, even though he assures me the food has been in for an hour at gas mark 6. Is it possible that the gas pressure is reduced due to a blockage for example, and if so, who is responsible for sorting it out, the householder, or the supply company?

Depends where the problem is. Get the pressure checked at the meter.

Could it be possible there is a problem with the oven?

Fairly new oven, and I seem to recall the previous one had a similar problem.

Can he see the gas flame? My old gas oven started with a really big flame and then shunk to become tiny when the oven was up to temperature. Is he getting a big ass flame when the oven is cold that shrinks as the oven warms up, or is it small from cold and stays small?
