Ferrari satisfaction questoin
Discussion
Hello all,a question for Ferrari F430 coupe/spider owners. How many of you are totally satisfied with youre Ferrari, please be honest, the reason why i am asking this is because i always wanted a Lamborghini and then i bought a G.I ended up with a love hate relationship with my Lambo, but now i want a Ferrari F430 spider and i dont want that same feeling as the Lambo, any thoughts/comments/advice?
Out of interest, what was the "hate" part of your G relationship?
I love the F430. Wish it didnt run through tyres so quick, and in heavy london traffic its not exactly smooth riding. But after 3000 miles weekend trip through europe, i still got out feeling energised and loving it. So if you give it decent open space, it'll not disappoint. If you're only able to give it a life of 5mph average, you'll probably resent it greatly.

The hate part of the G (2007 e-gear)it was a very very hard ride and if you put in sport mode then the gear change was savage/brutal! That peed me of to my back teeth, only God knows how i put up with two years. The love part was the sheer power factor, overtaking was just unbelevable, one flick on the left paddle and youre in space, and that V10 thunder is out of this world,my two dogs knew i was on my way home half a mile away. The car its self was a stunning looker but always second to a Ferrari i suppose!I love the F430. Not sure how valid my opinion is as I've only owned my F430 for six days, but it's absolutely amazing. I can't fault any part of the car, it's a world apart from anything I've owned before. I had a 996 GT2 which matched it for performance more or less, but the Ferrari is in a different league in every other department.

I suggest you bought the wrong Gallardo. I have a 2007 manual spyder and love it. Not owned a F430 but driven them and owned a 360. The Gallardo has so much more prescence and I (in my limited way) think is a better drive. The Gallardo ride I find (personal opinion of course) is great mix of compliant but grippy. Dont personally like the e-gear for the reason you mention. Always felt to me like it was going to break the transmission!
