I know this question has been asked before but is the transmission tunnel covering leather or vinyl on the ½ leather option ? (not many cows in the city and I don’t fancy creeping round the countryside sniffing cows ) :-0

In the half leather option the only parts that are leather are the front facings of the seat squab, backrest and headrest. The rest is Leatherclth.

I'm sure I've seen it on the interior of one or two Tamoras but I'm not sure if that was a 'factory original'

IH, I've never seen Leather covered vinyl, I don't think it exists, but I think sometimes real leather is so processed that it doesn't look like it ever came off something living...

On the T-cars the fake leather (vinyl) is called bison.

Don't think so, the vinyl trim in my S is called "Ambla" on the paperwork.

Alacantra is the stuff that feels like suede, seem mostly on the t cars
You could have the tweed stuff but that is mostly seen on cerbs for the roof lining/door cards
Chims/griffs tended to have carpet on the door cards
Ambla is the vinyl stuff used on the dash etc if leather wasnt specced.

I've done the dash and door cards. Be interesting to see how the entire interior would look.

Ambla is the manufacturer's name for their vynal
chieftain is another and if i remember correctly Bison is an immitation suede that is bonded onto a fabric cloth backing, i have used copious amounts of these feux leather/suede Bison has been known to peel away from its backing,
Alcantara is expensive and not great to work with as it's quite stiff, there are other suedes imitations out there alot cheaper.
