Timber merchants

Thought this may get a better response in a DIY forum, wondering if anyone knows of a timber merchants in the farnborough/bracknell/maidenhead or farnham/guildford/woking area. (I'm in farnborough)
Basically after some nice pieces of wood to build sides for desk sort of 24"*30" by say approx 1/2" thick and nice looking i.e. with some sort of grain. Obviously burr walnut type of thing would be lovely but big pieces would be far too expensive for me to bodge with a router so wondering if there was anywhere that held stock of various types (e.g. cherry, walnut, oak etc) in various sizes you could look at and buy.
Am after solid pieces NOT veneer,
