Website design/modify/update????

Hi,

To cut a long story short..

We have a website, we manage the hosting and we have the ftp codes and access etc. Somebody else was paid a lump sum and designed the site which we have lost contact with (not fallen out with!). we have no hardcopy of the website.

Can we modify/update the site and access all the website information??

Simple answer....yes!

With the ftp access you should be able to download the site folders and files, modify as required and then upload the amended files.

If you are using a WYSIWYG editor like Dreaweaver it should be even easier as you should be able to create a new "site" within the tool (using the current URL) and then remote connect to the site using ftp id and password.
