My father has a Mulliner Continental R. I cant see that one making £80k if it needs a big overhaul to get it running though.

Great find though. Makes you wonder what other hidden gems are lurking in barns around the UK.

Oddly enough in the barn near me there's a wooden steam engine mock up that was a set piece for "The Railway Children".

The maserati engines are particularily prone to leaking if left alone for ages. Reckon on complete strip and rebuild of the, engines, brakes, suspension and cooling and heating syestems
Guess for the masers about £20,000 minimum each as long as no major parts need replaced! Biggest risk is the engines have corroded internally and wrecked in which case would be easier to find a spare engine!
What a waste of a really nice collection of cars!

We wouldnt argue - the Longchamp is the one for me. Awesome.

The estimates seem low to me. Any idea when they're being auctioned?

How many Deauvilles in the country? Cant be many at all. Is it Rob that is restoring an Australian import at massive expense himself?

Were there any more pictures?

It is the one and the same wink

The day these were unearthed I was there, it won’t be forgotten in a hurry I can assure you.

Having spent a good amount of time with the cars over the last few months and in next week or so getting access to lift the tops of the engines I should have a better idea of just how bad they are

As mentioned the Maz V8’s can be hugely expensive but don’t dismiss the magnitude of the project with the Dee Tee’s either, yes the engines are cheaper but in every other respect they will eat your wallet and spit them out for fun.

Shame the journalist couldn’t have had me down as an international arms dealer and man of mystery.

I’ve got some more pictures I’ll try and dig out

Seven or eight in answer to the question and only a couple are working

The Khamsin for me, if only it was complete! Why rip the dash and clocks out?

To adjust the milage.....in this case, forwards smile I looks like its the car he used the most (excl. the Nissan) by a long shot.

But this is deepest rural East Anglia, there was something nesting in there!

dont understand why you would need to do this to the Khamsins dash. Is a pretty simple thing to take out and wouldnt need that level of butchery! The speedo etc have nothing to do with the centre ones. Suspect he has taken it out and sold it. If so will be difficult to find another! Were only 430 made with fewer than 40 ever in UK and possibly only 15 or so running or known here!
I would happily have owned and driven any of his cars! Such a shame!
Will find out where the Khamsin goes and whats happening to it in due course. It's a very small world for the rare cars he had!

To think what he spent on the cars new and what they are worth now, unfortunately unused too.

Might go and have a look at these at the auctioneers on Friday as I live in Bury St Edmunds. Could be quite interesting.

Looked like an Alsatian dragging it's arse accross the floor when it was offloaded from the transporter. Plenty to spend to get it roadworthy I suspect.

It did look as though it was about to lift the lorry off its front axle as it wheezed into the yard, a big old girl by anyone’s standards.

Having seen them again in the cold light of day I suspect the unwary are going to be easily seduced?

Did you a look at the khamsin? It says all the parts are there, did you see the dash and clocks etc?
What was your overall impresion re condition? (assuming you saw it of course)
