Really loved this car. Didn't want to sell it, but had to go to finance Neil's SEAC. Just wondering if it's gone to a good home and anybody on here.

i have to stand up in defence of the tr7.its such a shame schnozz,that you can slag something so great as the '7' ,without obviously having owned and lived with one for any significant time.the very fact that your father has owned his from new should slap you in the face,and at least make you realise,that they are vastly underrated.i had to give mine up to make garage space for a chimp.this car WAS a real piece of sh1te,being a total nightmare for the whole of the eight months that i owned it.i couldnt wait to get rid of it,and mine was the 'proper' 5.0l version,not the 'vidal' version that you own(judging by your prfile pic,you look the part btw).the chimps reliability and build quality was in complete contrast to my experience of the '7' which was utterly reliable for my 5 year ownership.so the message is,dont talk bcks about the '7' when you dont know what your talking about!

lived with one for any significant time? erm, like had one in the house since I was born? Driven it plenty to know how it goes and handles etc. Not really with you here.

IMO its slow, ugly, handles poorly and the paintwork rusted if you sneezed whilst driving. Our one needed a respray within 20k after 2 years. Good ol' BL.

As for your bait re the 4 litre hairdresser comment. Well i normally reserve the term hairdresser cars for MX5's, so unless you owned one of those I have no retort. Oh, it appears you did.

And in fear of being the gentleman stood in the glasshouse, I did indeed own an MGF. But then I didnt cast the first stone now

Well Mrs H you'll be glad to know your baby's got a nice new comfortable garage again. Bought it from someone who shouldn't have owned a TVR!!! It was stuck under a tarpaulin in a back yard...hardly used, unable to start!! Unfortunately she's wearing a rather tacky number plate at the minute but will return to L646 OUA very soon. I did recieve some history with car but would be great to tie some loose ends. As for the future.....I have some plans afoot to restore her to her former glory as funds permit
