Mini Cooper 2002 Auto Model,Clutch Problem

hi ppl, just purschased a nice 2002 mini cooper, but the clutch is slipping slighty and was wondering if this is a common fault with the auto minis out there?
where is the gearbox oil top up located, was thinking this could be low and hence making it slip.
i did notice the powersteering fluid is on the low side, gather this wouldnt have any affect the clutch slipping, just thought worth a mention.
anyone had a replacement done, any ideas on cost ???

My wifes auto mini is the same year and occassionally cuts out when cold and she engages drive - does yours do that ?
Thinking it may also be related to transmission oil level but like you can not find a dip stick. There is probally a fill & level point under the car but only god and a paid mechanic knows where & how
