Remember good old Alistair Cooke's letter from America? It was a series where he managed to con the British tax payers in sponsoring him via the BBC to have the best of America whilst not having to live in Dear Old Blighty and having to live through Arthur Scargill and also Emmerdale Farm. Nice job if you can get it!

Anyhow, my mate sent me his own "letter from America" the other day, actually it was a parcel because he knows I like my American food in all it's rather offbeat glory. I've been pestering him for ages to send a frozen Hardee's Monster thick burger through airmail, saying it will be just right by the time it got here, but so far no luck, however tonight I got home to find a parcel at my door! Was it a bottle of Cheese Whiz? Was it some grits in "gravy", was it a chili dog with the guts squeezing out the package?

Any clues from the packaging?

Microwave snack! What on earth, surely it must be some sort of popcorn but no, it was

Oh yes! We add pork rind to the the holy trinity or pork scratchings and pork crackling. Look how healthy it is too, only 1 carb. I shall be cooking this on Friday as a starter, american style and will keep you posted.
