Haven't seen it yet but I enjoyed (if that's the right word for such an unrelenting grim vision of the future) the book.
I assume the ending is the same as the book? If so, it's about all that saved the book from being a full-on turn-on-Radiohead-and-open-a-vein experience on finishing it!

I've just read the book, and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. 307 pages, and for the first 300 not a lot happens! Don't think I'll be catching the film.
I am inclined to agree; the book meanders along and I can't see an interesting film being made out of it without 'embellishment'. I do think the book could have been shorter......
