Sub £12k Chims selling quickly
Discussion
I've been trying to find a cheapish one and every time I ring up they're either sold or under offer. I thought this was supposed to be the quiet time of year. I'm not after anything spectacular, although all Tivs are of course, just a good useable car.
Yes I've put a wanted in the classifieds.
So please someone put me out of my misery and relieve me of this large wad of cash that's burning a hole in my pocket. Otherwise I may have to defect and we don't want that do we.
Cheers, hopefully, Al.

Location,Location,Location. Sorry wrong program. PRICE AND CONDITION. Seriously had a look at your wanted ad and cant believe that you will buy a car with a chequered past rather than a red, green or grey one. I have got a really nice early(93K)low mileage fullTVR dealer service history one but its Cooper Green. Just had someone look at it, spent 2 hours and a 20 mile test drive before he decided that he wanted a dark blue Griff. The sun is out so I suppose the season for test pilots is nearly upon us. Good luck in your search and if I hear of any in your budget I will let you know sTeVeR
If you read my ad you will have seen that I have set myself some parameters with which to work within. I don't see the point of buying a car on condition if you don't like the colour. As far as a chequered past is concerned, I'm assuming you're referring to any accident damage. As stated in ad as long as it's repaired properly and the price reflects it's 'chequered' history, what's the problem? I have just sold my Cerb, which is a Cat 'D' repaired and has been inspected by Autolign which it passed. The only thing to bear in mind is that it will never be worth as much as an undamaged one. Most cars also have at least a frontend respray when they get to 60-70k miles so how would you know it hadn't also had an unrecorded front end accident? Anyway still looking, with a strong possibility form someone who sent me mail this morning. Say no more at the mo.
Thanks for all the replies so far, keep em comin.
Cheers, Al.

Oh, doesn't that just annoy the hell out of you?
Before my Chimaera I had a MR2 Turbo, a guy emailed me at work and as we were both in Cambridge I agreed to drive it round to him after work.
The car was absolutely mint, FTSH, low mileage, very well specced with air con, reasonably priced, etc. His wife turned up at his work as well, it was for her. After a VERY long look at it and a test drive he said...
