So I saw first hand yesterday, evidence of Gordon's attempt to buy the votes of benefit scallys, and it really pissed me off.

Normal lifetime benefit woman with unruly sugar addicted brat in tow, bragging about her government issued Barclaycard pre-loaded with about £550 and a years broadband subscription on top. She was just off to Comet to pick which one she wanted, no matter that she already has a PC and broadband.

What happens if the computer she buys costs less than £550? The money goes back to the government. So naturally, everyone's aim is to use every penny on the card.

Are there any checks to see if people actually use the computers? No. So as she said, most are already in Cash Converters, with the money paying for a few good nights out.

Real nicely thought out scheme there, Gordon, you fking, ttting, tosser.

Convieniently timed too, just before an election.

Labour looking after their own, they've done it for years. No different to them importing millions of immigrants who will all, undoubtedly vote for The Party. Its f u c king depressing.

Where's my free laptop?

I have paid tax since the day I finished college. If they're handing them out like skittles, then I want one too.

You couldn't make it up could you?

Let's put it this way, I am working bloody hard at the moment to get my own business off the ground, I'm currently doing all kinds of nasty "other things" to keep my head above water. I'm sat in a grotty warehouse driving a forklift, am looking at doing the odd day of supply teaching to get by and am looking at doing a chemistry lab job for part time hours. Every fking step of the way, I'm taxed, when I drive to work, I am raped by the government, I am fking well tripped up and kicked all along the way and that's life and it's fricking hard work. I will get there and I will fking well succeed. I expect a fking reward for my bloody effort. My pay and my success are my rewards and how fking dare Gordon and his Comrades STEAL my fricking grafted for money and GIVE IT to these lowlife scum.

Now, to see my money and others who are in similar boats frittered in this manner is beyond irritating. I am seething with rage.

So, people wonder why when they have finally climbed to the top of the pyramid, why they fking well evade tax?

I really, really want the labour candidate to visit my house before the election.
I really want them to ask me if I'm going to vote for them.
When I've finished laughing about 10 minutes later, I'll slam the door in their face.

That makes me even happier to vote labour at the election, after all its not like I have to work for a whole week to pay for a PC (irrespective of whether its for me, or one I've paid for with my tax contributions!) whilst lifes natural victims get one for free mad

I think its time for me to go and sit down and do some meditation before I pop!

Everything I have is bought and paid for using money I've earned, honestly, by using my brain. I have a little bit of pride in that. Gordon Brown can't touch that whatever he does, how ever much he steals from my tax to pay for toys for his followers, he can't come close to what I and many other people on PH have achieved in their lives.

I dont think many people would be too upset at those sorts of schemes, after all for Costco its a good loss leader and they no doubt dont charge the NHS and if the PC schemes are the same as the ones I've seen BT and Local Government bods get, its a bulk purchase (with the discounts that generates in itself) with the cost comming straight out of peoples pay and arguably lowers PC training costs

Oh you want more I.T. related money wasting schemes?

A few high ups in our lovely (spit) PCT are allegedly friendly with a local computer firm, as in personal friends. So it isn't surprising really that the aforementioned firm gets the contract to look after the PCT's computing affairs. And not really surprising that the computing firm is taking all the money it can from the PCT.

Example: we have 3 surgery computers, 4 years old, working perfectly, since all they run is an appointment program and Word. PCT computing gimp turns up and informs us that they are running slow and he is ordering us 3 brand new PC's. No opportunity to refuse, they will be delivered at a random date in the next few months. No wonder the NHS has no money when PCT's spend on complete crap!

I was mildly sceptical this could happen when I read the opening post... and having looked at the Becta and Home Access websites, I have to say that scepticism was largely removed. Not a mention on either of any grant conditions or post-purchase controls being in place to ensure the dosh is really applied as intended. So, I then rang the helpline... guess what; no-one there could point me in the direction of any either. Will be emailing Becta later, anyone fancy joining me?
