I see there is an large gap between the roll hoop and the centre section - is this for fancy switch gear in the roof?

Hi Rusti, there will be gadgets and gizmos, just very time consuming, and so very little space.

STD GTR Rollcage sits away from the roof now. My 2000gtr rubbed on the inner skin of the roof and I have since found later cars they lowered it to miss everything....

Look....

So Mines like this....

Its now inside the roof and away from my Helmit when I sit in the car...

Have you thought about air vents similar to LuckyPs? Keeps the top of the dash nice and clean imo.

Looking good though, what have you gone for in the double din slot?

The slot will house a double din head unit, cd, dvd, tv, sat nav, stereo. In addition, there will be a centrally mounted rear view monitor in the space between the roll cage above my head. There will be a monitor monitor just below the centre of the dash that will show, g force, acceleration, braking etc, and a gatso detctor / blocker thing. few other tricks but ill discuss those via email if interested.

The centre console for the roof, has been made and fits beautifully, didnt expect it to work if im honest. Ill post some pics tomorrow.

Cant remember how close are they to the arches??or have you dropped the aspect ratio of the tyre to compensate.

Yeah the aspect has been dropped, and the tyres cost me a small mortgage, dont even start me on the price of the rims. The clearance was tight but with some good bodywork guys, assistance with small springs etc, all will be just fine.

- I hope!

Looking very good Mark !!

I hope your huge wheel/tyre combo will be OK on the headlight backing mouldings - mine still rub a bit even with standard wheels and tyres.

it is close but we have made a few modifications, whilst not forgettng we were able to keep the same rolling radius, the difference being around 1mm.
Iknew a few mods would have to be made if we changed the setup the way we have, but for me it is worth it.

Mark, Now that looks a very fine work of craftsmanship and very professional looking. Congratulations. Will you use the screen for a rear-view or other applications?

Thanks, the screen will be mainly rear view, as the majority of information being fedback will be displayed on the dash in various places. its nice to see it all come to life now, its been a long time coming. I dont actually remeber what it feels like to be in a GTR. Let alone drive one!

Mark..

Im not sure if its too late to modify, but you might want to tilt the screen towards you a bit.. I found with mine as you are driving up the road angle flat like yours was very hard to see the car behind... Now it angled towards me it 5 x better....Must say that is a very nice job you have made of it....

Really nice detail in the contrast between the dark of the screen and lights, and the light upholstery
