I have a BT 8mb connection and the actual speeds are:
6.2mb Download
250k upload
which is fine most of the time except when it comes to viewing TV on the lappy via the Sling Catcher. Although Sling say a speed of 300k should be adequate I suspect that is unlikely as 250 is complete rubbish. Something double may do the job.
Is there anyway to improve the upload speed?
Speak to BT but then it's a phone call to Bombay and all it's inherent frustrations.
Change the router from the standard BT Home Hub but I don't know if that will help.
Any other suggestions?

Are you watching TV from your Slingcatcher when you're away from home? Or am I missing something?
If you're streaming from a network device in your house to your laptop in the same building I would have thought all the traffic would be internal, so the limiting factors would be your wired/wireless network rather than your ADSL connection.
I had issues streaming video from my laptop to my Xbox/TV using the Thompson router that O2 supplied (I believe the Homehubs are also made by Thompson). I switched back to the Linksys hardware I've used previously and the issues went away, despite the Linksys stuff only being wireless 'G' and the Thompson router being Draft-N.
