Floppy gearstick, awaiting the aa!
Discussion
I experienced this in my Tuscan,
If it's the same issue I could lift the gearstick up and it would completely remove it's self out of the top of the Gaitor.
Turned out a little allan key thread that holds the gearstick in place had came loose. I had to remove the centre armrest and gaitor, re-attach the gearstick and tighten up the small allan key nut to fix. .
Good Luck.

The 'pretty' Gear lever in the car, is held onto 'rough old lever' in the gear box, by 2 bolts, lift up the Gaitor and you may just be able to see if they are loose - keep your fingers crossed thats all it is.
Bingo, I got a little angry and so now need to repair the gaitor but it turned out the bottom bolt had dropped out, it was lying on the transmission and I was able to get it back in and get back on the road.Edited by JensenA on Thursday 4th March 16:32
Just need to sort the gaitor

Cheers people
