98 XJR - Wiper has a mind of its own
Discussion
Evening all,
Any ideas on this one ?
The wiper on my 1998 XJR does its own thing.
From what I can work out when I use any speed or wash or swipe it starts in normal speed and doesn't stop, even when the key is taken out of the ignition.
I have fitted two new relays at the front just behind the front left headlamp.
I have replaced the right ones I'm sure, if not feel free to take the P***
Any further constructive resolution would be happily received.

there is no need to slacken the screws . there is a slide that holds the assembly in place you need to locate the sliders and just pull them to release the motor assembly.if you can get your hand on the screws and feel 5mm to the side you will find the slides pull them towards the passenger side ofthe car they should release . they can be tight so patience is needed.
