Hi all,

can I have some suggestions please for a theme for the evening do? We have the option of the function room at Ettington, with a hog roast, but need some ideas for a theme! Have a word with your other halves - they might have some good ideas!

Secondly, I guess some people will want to stick around for a drive out on Sunday as usual, and stop somewhere for lunch. I wonder if I could have some volunteers to help with the convoy, and suggestions for a route would be welcome.

Let's get some ideas rolling! Cheers....

I think the roast hog BBQ hit the nail on the head last time I was at BBWF. The pub do was good as well but I understand that is not an option? But keeping it at the hotel makes it easy to change into costumes for the evening......

Vickers and tarts (but swap genders.....)? Some sort of fancy dress anyway. Cops and robbers, bicycle repair man, flower pot men and women. Cowboys and injuns, blues brothers, pirates, 70's with kipper tie (prize for the biggest). Little Britain characters.

What's the point of 80's - all the clothes I bought in the 80's were made too small!

Yes, the 80's theme sounds good, certainly the best decade for music (and cars)

Sounds like you've hit the nail on the head: the Tasmin made its debut in January 1980 at the Belgian Motor Show and the “Wedge” was born.

Sadly most of my clothers from the '80's are also too small, for some strange reason, but I'm sure I can throw something together...

Glad to see that you are going with an eighties theme Adam. The wife and I are looking forward to this, as well as the hog roast. Don't forget to let us all know the cost of the hog roast by the way.
