Having taken the tie bars, roll bar drop links and bottom ball joint off today and measured up everything there are a few, what I assume are 'TVR discrepancies'
The tie bar on the drivers side has a measurement of 85mm from the front of the lock nut to the end and the passenger side has 73mm from the front lock nut to the end.
The drivers side is dead straight and the passengers side has a slight bend on it, barely a couple of degrees.
The roll bar on the drivers side has a split pin to retain the the drop link and bush.
The passengers side has 2 lugs (now filed off to remove the link and bush and washer, there was no other way!! A new hole and split pin will be done tomorrow)
And lastly, how the bloody hell does the roll bar come out? the only way I can see is to completely remove the bottom cup and shock/spring (its not going to happen this week)
Sorry for all the silly little questions, but Ive got to say, Im am seriously enjoying getting my hands dirty again,
too long off of the tools.

The bent tie-rod COULD be due to some arse having jacked the car up on it.
The 'lugs' on the end of the antiroll bar could be dollops of weld, added to stop it pulling through the bush
Don't understand the issue with getting the antiroll bar out...? Should be just a case of detaching the drop links, pulling off the bracets and sliding the ARB out.

The roll bar is the earlier type I think, so its at the rear ( I stand to be corrected on this) and it goes through the chassis frame and whatever way I turn it, it fouls on the suspension.
Not a major drama, Im just eager to get it back on the road now, the postman, father cristmass, has just delivered two packages.... bushes and ball joints!!
Out to the garage I go.

The rear facing anti roll bar does come out, but it is a struggle.

Just noticed that you've not got yours totally stripped out. I had all of the suspension off before I tried to get the roll bar out.Edited by Big Daft Lad on Friday 5th March 12:48
