this could go badly for winky.

whats the betting he just skirts round the issues raised, or blames tony?

personally i hope he gets buttfked, it was well known by us boys on the front line that he cut the budget just before we went in.

i cant remember someone so hated by the majority of the armed forces either.

I hope he trips up but something from the Blair event says he comes off smelling of roses.

I started a new thread but I'll get rid of it.

Brown is either lying or was genuinely kept out of the loop by Bliar and is an idiot.

Also, it is painfull to watch because GB is doing what he does best - repeating the mantra over and over again, regardless of the question. Sir Woderwic keeps saying 'so if I interpret your answer to mean...', because he won't actually answer anything.

He's also so damn dull to listen to.

Monologue droning, on and on and on.... just admitted he did not know the full deal on starting the war.....but still approved it...etc.

Heard the first 20mins which was enough to know he was virtually out of the loop, until war began and that he was typically so well prepared to bury any question under a plethora of numbers (that would need forsenic scrutiny to determine if it's his usual double or triple (ac)counting and dates. So much so you can be certain that he'll dodge any question for thelightweight chilcott "interrogators" on spending on helicopters and snatch landrovers...

Anyone else pick up on this?

He kept mentioning that a lesson to be learned was better agreement and support from other countries. I read into this that he actually meant that all the other countries should simply do as the US and the UK want regardless.

I think I know now how Brown ended up as PM - He bored his opponents into submission.

His strategy seems to be to spout an endless drone of vague statements and numbers in the hope that no one will pick up that he isn't actually saying anything.

He's off on one now - the panel are useless - Brown is now just throwing figure after figure and they aren't stopping him at all.

Where are the hard questions?

Perhaps this is why Labour were banging on about Lord whatshisname yesterday? To try and bump this off top spot?

So, The Chilcott Enquiry......

A massive exercise in theatre, with the end result that officially, Blair et al, were in the right and not only that, they were honourably in the right too.

A complete redistribution of more money from the taxpayer to the pockets of the facilitators, more fricking "attention" for attention-seeking Tony and lovely feel good emotionally pandering bullst.

Seriously, what else could the outcome be?

They aren't exactly going to The Hague are they rolleyes

You have to admire the ability to chat for hours without actually saying anything. To paraphrase Bruce Lee: "the art of talking, without talking".

Nope - it's be far too lightweight from the start - the inquiry has all the bite of a dead dog.
