Tuscan Lives Again?

Just seen this in the Local Paper (Redditch Advertiser). Applogies for lengthy text but not sure how to post a link to the page. A firm in Redditch is planning to make a 'new' classic Tuscan from the original moulds but with more modern running gear....calling it the Titan!
A REDDITCH business, which specialises in preparing classic race cars for clients to race all over the world, has just rebuilt a little bit of British sports car history.
Mike Luck from Stratford-upon-Avon, who owns Redditch-based Classic World Racing (CWR), has just completed the build of a race car based on a 1968 TVR Tuscan after he discovered that the original moulds had been lying untouched in a barn for 20 years.
“I was commissioned by a client to build a race car so it was a great opportunity to recreate a classic car to the customer’s requirements,” said Mike.
“Only around 20 Tuscans were made at the time, mainly for demonstration purposes but the model was short-lived due to supply issues of the 4.7 litre Ford V8 engine so I was very excited to see how the car would come to life once the mouldings arrived.
“I must admit at that stage, I had no idea how it might look.
“As the CWR team started work on the Tuscan, it struck me what a beautiful little car it was and I’m so delighted with it, that we decided to go forward and build a road-going version which will be called the Titan.”
Mike will be unveiling the Tuscan race car at the Race Retro show which will be held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry from March 12-14 and he’s hoping the sleek, sporting lines of the race car will act as a showcase for the Titan road car which is already in development.
“The style will appeal to the classic car enthusiast and it will have all the power and handling characteristics of a modern sports car,” added Mike.
There is still a lot of interest in older TVRs so I’m hoping we have done justice to the memory of the Tuscan.”
