Missing Person Appeal - Matthew Wilcox

Hello everyone,

Thought I would post this on here. Matthew Wilcox is a good friend of one of my mates. My friend is doing a sponsered 10k run at an organised event on the 13th of March to raise funds to help for the search of Matthew and help his family.

Any donation, no matter how large or small, even 50p would be great! It all helps and would be greatly appreciated.

Matt went out with friends on Thursday 25th February to Club Mission in Leeds. He was separated from his friends whilst in the club and was reportedly last seen around 2.30am when he was escorted out of the back door of the club and told to get in a taxi by a bouncer who judged he was too drunk to be inside the club. It is not known whether Matt ever got in a taxi.

Matt, who is a 1st year studying Geography at the Uni of Leeds, lives in Clarence Docks Accomodation and has been known to walk the same way home after a night out.

Matt is around 6"1, slim/medium build, with his trademark blonde hair and black glasses. He is thought to have been wearing a light coloured shirt, dark jeans and black pumps.

It is really out of character for Matt to dissapear like this.

Please invite friends to join the group especially people in leeds. Anything anyone knows however small could be helpful.

With the sheer volume of CCTV in Britain's town centres I'm amazed anyone could just dissapear these days.

Hope your friend turns up safe and well.

Only last Monday a guy who I used to work with was finally found after going missing on xmas eve.

He too had walked home from a night out and fallen into a canal.

Very sad - RIP.

A colleague / friend of mine went missing after a night out in a club in Leeds, CCTV only picked up a couple of his movements.

Unfortunately his body was dragged from the river nearly 3 weeks later

Nobody actually knows how it happened!

Never a good idea to get blinding drunk, especially if one is going to end up staggering home by oneself. Safety in numbers and all that.

There's a bloody great river right next to the Clarence Dock.
