And saw this:

Looks like the chav pricks around here can't even wait until the summer to start burning the mountain anymore.
It's the 2nd one today, there was another one started this morning that took 3 fire engines 6 hours to put out mad

A few more pics, had to get in the car and go for a bit of a drive to be able to fit it all in

By the way, they're doing routine controlled burns on the moorland up here...

You sure this is not what you're seeing down there....?

Deffinately, the farmers don't do it around here anymore, it's kids/teenagers, usually on scramblers - they like to wait for the fire brigade to turn up and then go and start another one while the first is being dealt with.

Just found this on the BBC from 2 years ago, never seen that Cat thing in use around here

Saw police and 2 fire engines go past in Brynamman just as I was leaving tonight... guess it must have been this then? Little tts. I hope the emergency services are off an another pointless waste when the little gits actually need them.

Hope they get punctures and caught up in it (before being rescued so they get badly scared!)

This is why we should be allowed firearms. I can see the chav hunting season being extremely popular.

I'm in the Rhondda, so probably a different bunch of s, unfortunately, I don't think there's a shortage.

yes it would be like being a kid again, spending the summer up the mountain, but with a Barret light 50 instead of an air rifle biggrin
