Hi,

does anybody know either what type or where you can buy the connector pictured below?

Basically I need the one for connecting the copper pipe, not the one on the far left but the one with the arrow pointing at it.

Cheers,

Unless I am misunderstanding something (always possible) then the arrow seems to be pointing at the nut which I would expect to be supplied with the flexible brake pipe. So, end of flexible pipe goes through chassis bracket, and is secured to that bracket by a nut and star washer, then the suitably flared end of the copper pipe is applied to the end of the flexible pipe fitting and secured to it with the nut that will/should have been fitted to the copper pipe before its end was flared.

Do you have a different interpretation then? Why couldn't he simply take the flexy off and go to his local motor factors/halfords/brake specialist?

Looks like a 600 series male bulkhead connector. Available from Tweeks, RD, CBS etc

What would be wrong about just buying a new flexible pipe already made up? Probably cheaper.

Because it probably wouldn't come with the bulkhead connector (arrowed part)
e.g. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDeta...

I must be missing something here. I tried 'sierra brake pipe' on ebay and got this for £10-I realise that it isn't long enough for the application shown, but it is a made-up brake pipe.

is that not a bulkhead connector at the bottom end?

I stand corrected! Maybe it'll stretch?

Suggest you try russbost (on pistonheads) www.furorecars.co.uk - he makes up stainless steel brake hoses in any configuration you want. Much nicer than those horrible mild steel plated things currently fitted!!!

Seconded, I did think of suggesting Russ but it wasn't yet clear what the OP was after.
