Thinking of going to Keevil next weekend, anybody had any experience of Keevil, layout looks like long straights and big stops but not too technical.

i'm fairly experienced but taking a novice with me, anybody else going/booked?

Did Keevil a few months back and while okay I found it a bit uninspiring compared to Colerne. The fact it was torrential weather didn't help and I was aquaplaning half the time. The surface was also very, very abrasive.

Yep, first outing in 2010 trying out a few suspension settings, everyone says it's abrasive so a very worn set of CR500s will probably be slicks by the end, weather looks OK though.

It's my first time at Kevill this weekend. I'll be in a blue mk1 MX5. Got a couple of friends coming in their TVR's.
Have heard the surface is quite tough on tyres. Hmm was hoping for a few more bends. Have done the Abingdon airfield with MSE and that was fast but had an interesting layout. Hope this is the same.

...and here's friend No.1 - done Abingdon also last year, really looking forward to this one as well - there'll be five of us across three cars (MX5, Chimaera and Tamora)- we'll be the ones battling to put a gazebo up before the briefing! - feel free to come and say hello smile

I'll be there too...in the white 944 S2.

Keevil is one of my favourite airfield circuits, so really looking forward to it!

Weather looks good too: http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Keev...

Track Day and trailer hire booked!

Unfortunately, one of my drivers has dropped out so I've got some spare seat time, if anyone is interested PM me.

ETA Emails will be received even on the day for anyone who may just want a go in the afternoon.

See the rest of you there.

I did Keevil a while back, if I remember correctly there’s a teas n' coffee van.

Its a bit exposed so ramp up warm, if its the same course then there’s lots of space.

Here's a few photos from my day

Keevil is a nice circuit, not quite as intersting as Colerne, but still great to drive.

Will be there p.m. in a silver Elise.

MSE's new burger van chap is great - best bacon butties in the racing world...
