Help!!!
I have a BWW 320d 2002 model. The car will not start although there is plenty of fuel and the battery is allowing the car try to start. When I broke down the RAC used cold start spray to get it started and I traveled 150 miles to my home home without turning the engine off. Once the engine was turned off it would not start again. I replaced the fuel filter and pump underneath body on passenger side of vehicle, but I still have the same problem then I changed the relay in the dash underneath glove compartment (nightmare to access!) and still the same problem. Yhe engine is turning over but will not start or fire up! Has anyone encountered this problem and can anyone tell me what to tackle next?

Thank you I am getting desperate!

I had a similar issue on my 02 320d some years ago. The problem was it would only start from cold. Once warm it wouldn't restart. You could spin it over for ages and nothing. Once cold it started virtually normally. Went through the fuel pump ideas but it turned out to be a leaking injector. New set of injectors later (over £800) and it was absolutley fine. The car had around 60,000 mils on at the time as I remember.

Got it sorted by a good independant PMW in Chelmsford.

Good luck

Yep, had the same problem with our 330d. Turned out to be injector leaking by. ECU won't open injectors until the fuel rail is up to a specific pressure. You need to take them out and get them tested. I had all 6 done even tho only 4 were bad. Cost about £600 for 6 recon injectors iirc. This was at about 140k miles. Been fine since

Hope this helps.
