HELP: Steering has a mind of its own

I went over a speed hump too quickly last night and immediately after I noticed the car tended to veer to the left. I initially thought it was the tracking but now the issue seems more serious. Now when I am driving the car suddenly pulls to the left or the right. It is particularly bad when I press the breaks firmly. Any ideas what the problem could be? As I said this happened IMMEDIATELY after I went over a speed hump...
Sounds like something is very wrong or even broken - could be a steering control arm, track rod end, steering rack mounting or other. In my opinion you should get it to a TVR specialist who can diagnose asap. The last thing you want is to have something break/fall off at high speed just when you need it (such as when braking hard).
