Did a trackday at Rockingham today with TC and Dean Hays. Mucho fun
Regretably at the end of the day Dean let me go out for half a dozen laps in his R888 shod Sagaris. Stunning, simply stunning.
Im now having some really worrying dark thoughts. I think I need either medical or spititual help to cleanse me!
Satan, get the behind me

What! Ditching the Cerb for a Sagaris. Well they do reckon the Sag is the best handling out of all the TVR,s. You should be able to cover your many driving mistakes easy with that one......

That isnt me driving in that photo
The R8 was driven by a chap and his 2 teenage sons. One or more of the drivers were fairly quick but complete lacking when it came to track day etiquette. Right up your chuff, undertaking in corners when you hadnt 'invited' them through etc. Best course of action was to just let them get on with it and get back to enjoying your lap.

From the driver's seat, once the Cerb got up into the revs I'm sure it has the measure of the Sag, but going into, round and out of corners the Sag was the daddy. Engine seemed to pull really well in the Sag, but didn't quite have the OMG feel in the high end revs. Even though I wasn't pushing the car as I would have done my own, I was going into and out of corners faster than in the Cerb, which gave obvious benefits on the straights. The brakes where better than the Cerb.
Was able to enjoy the Sag on track more than the Cerb. I had much more confidence that it wasn't going to suddenly bite me in the arse and throw me off the track. Until I get round to sticking some triple 8s on I wont know how much of this confidence is down to the tyres.
I think I can safely say, as a (very) fast GT car the Cerb is King, as a track day car the Sag runs off with the thorny crown.
There was a very quick Manthay 911 going round damned fast. Couldnt live with it in the Cerb but managed to keep it within a straight for a lap in the Sag.
Just need to find £20k down the back of the sofa http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1456256.htm
Back to reality and here's some pics

And mine sits on Ohlins yet I concur though with my learned friend having also been allowed a play out... the Sag was just VERY composed and felt so confident going into corners. Thankfully I have a house to renovate/extend so can't even think about a change/addition of mota .. not that I would of course
... never.... not thought about it once since Saturday..

Would be interesting if either of you 2 had a go in mine and let me know how it felt compared to the sag. Not wishing to blow my own trumpet, but all the little tweeks over the last couple of years has resulted in a very well set up cerb, that feels very planted in the twisty bits. Next trackday you will have to have a go and see what you think.
