X300 alarm problem

Something is not quite right - X300 shape XJ

Sometimnes when I blip the deadlocks on I get a different higher pitched beep than I used to get. Yesterday the alarm sounded about 10 seconds later - fixed with unlock and lock. Still got the higher pitched beep when I put on the deadlocks, worried about the alarm going off (I live a way away from the car) I didn't apply the them.

Sensors? Any ideas? Thanks

Mine has very occasionally done that since I got it back when nearly new. In my case it is just very occasional. When I get the different noise I usually just unlock and lock it again. I think that the different beep is telling you something isn't shut properly, and that could be a sensor not registering that a door is shut right.

Thanks, will try shutting doors again and see if that make a difference.

Might also be worth checking the boot.
