Help ! ! Car won't start

Hi all,

Well got the griff (500) out this morning after being stored for three months, usual things like flat battery which i fully charged,
Started up and a funny whine from the top of the engine like a supercharger, took it for a gentle warm up running great, stopped at a shop, 1/2 hour later tried to start it nothing, it's turning over fine but not even trying to start. Just like it's out of fuel which it's not.

Any idea's

My first guess would be a hose has popped off the plenum giving the noise. Its probably flooded too.

Ok i'll go check for any pipes off, had to leave the car there and get a lift back.

Do i just leave it for a while if it's flooded ?

Depends how badly its flooded.
It may fire up after 10 minutes but you could also just make matters worse.
Id give it half an hour and have a good check around the engine bay first.

If its not badly flooded push the right hand pedal to the floor before/during trying to start




Or plugs out & gas mark 5 for an 1/2 hour

Never worked that well for me,plus the sunday joint would smell a bit funny afterwards

Always found a new set to be a better bet and less hassle

Thanks all,

No pipes off and started first time, took it for agood warm up back at the house turned off went to restart nothing.

I'll have to look at a few things hot start kit, ecu temp sensor??

Can anyone recommend a good indy south wales / bristol area

Sorry forgot to add that the temp gauge stayed very low compared to what it normally runs at, would this mean anything?
