Hi everyone,This weekend i was putting front pads on my nephews rs focus (53 plate) when i removed the o/s front wheel i was squirted in the face with coolant,Just down near the driveshaft is a bent metal waterpipe,A rubber hose runs from the oil housing via this pipe near the driveshaft then onto another rubber hose,I took off the metal pipe to look to see how bad it was with a quick rub it was very rusty,we called fords to get a replacment part but the chap could not find it on the computer even with the part number! So out came the welder just to get him back on the road until he gets the replacment part,

So its worth turning your car on full right hand lock & checking your pipe, its runs just over the driveshaft on o/s

a quick check now is better than a breakdown or overheating in the future

This is a common fault on them to such an extent that you'll find a group buy on the Focus section of the RS owners club site on replacements, but custom made for better quality than the Ford OE part, which is prone to rotting obviously smile
