If you are into your gadgets the Simlin centre is a must. Doesnt take long to get anywhere in a cab or the Mass Transit tube system. A/C and really works well, even if a little odd when you find out there is no driver.

EFA.

Would also recommend a wander around the Botanical Gardens and heading down to Little India if time permits.

Would suggest Pop up to the New Asia Bar at the top of the Swissotel (Westinn) Stamford to enjoy the beer (and happy hour) during sunset, great views of Singapore and the Singapore Straits.

Then wander over to the Long Bar, Raffles hotel for a Singapore Sling followed by a nice meal at Doc Cheng's at the other end of Raffles Hotel.

You will be knackered enough from the flight and the days work that travelling aroud too much will knock you out totally!

If you are feeling adventurous after that and fancy a bit of neffarous clubbing then its either Impanema's in the Towers or Brix, underneath the Grand Hyatt.

If you are more interested in a chill out and some food then either Jumbo or No Sign Board at the East Coast seafood center, and a wander along East Coast Park towards the city until you come across Muddy Murphy's Beach Bar.

As long as you know what is all about Crazy Horse is still worth a visit. Even if just for smiling at the Westerners that have no idea! Whenever I am with new people over there, I always take them there first, before heading to one of the other bars in 4FOW.

My personal favourites are when the US navy is in town and there is a bunch of first tour oversees US Marines in there .... the moment of realisation is usually priceless, and the Kathoey's can usually throw a much better punch too hehe

It's more fun if you claim to need a leak and send them into Romeo's!

Anyhoo... if he;s staying at Roxy sq., isn't that next to Paramount Hotel? I've heard that can be a bit lively too.

Thats a good Point, Fortress Bar is his destination then, 'Ppina specialities in there (aledgedly), definitely more seafood than down at Jumbo anyway hehe

On a more serious note, from Parkway the best (non slease) options are the aforementioned east coast seafood center or just go for a weander around on Joo Chiat and surrounding roads (although plenty of slease there as well as innocence wink )
