as you may have spotted I've had to put my steed up for sale ( in classifieds 4.3 cherry red ) and I've had a email (after a first request for additional information) as follows:

Thanks for the response,i was just making sure all the bases were covered,how much are you looking to sell this as i am interested in the immediate purchase.I reside in the Edinburgh,United Kingdom and i would be making use of a shipping company to have this picked up from you and have it delivered to me.Further arrangements will be made with you in regards to the pick up once i have paid you.

I would appreciate if you email me with more pictures (if available) too since i won't be seeing this in person,what's the PayPal email to send funds to in order for me to pay you ASAP.

PS:I will be adding the 3.9% PayPal surcharge and my shippers fee to the total amount i will be paying you,i would need you to help me transfer their charges to my shippers via western union once you get my payment.



On the face of it this could all be above board but the bit that gives me pause is why not use a regular bank (As pay-pal payments can be withdrawn) and why do I have to pay the shipping company?

Like said - could be dodgy as he's not seen the car in the plastic

dodgy, 100% dodgy, there was an almost identical email earlier to someone else from a buyer in edinburgh.

if it's real, why do they need you to prat about with shipping fee's - they instruct and pay their shipper to collect the car from you..

with a case full of cash?

This method of me paying shipping agents just sounds like money laundering

You're not even remotely considering this is genuine? CLEARLY a scam. Run a fecking mile.

Ignore and wait for genuine buyer or better yet keep it and don't live to regret selling a smashing car.
