Does any one know how much the head light units cost as im thinking of upgrading? And also ive noticed threads about headlights being crap, is that refurring to the newer headlights?

This is a mod i want to do as well , you can buy the bits from Noble but i,ve not had chance to get details yet.

last week or so i put some mini crystal clear head lights in my friends ruby red 2.5 also put crystal clear side lights and clear covers over both

Ive got round to speaking to the guys at christopher neil and price for parts looks to be about £800

the later 3r headlight/curved lens has a pretty poor beam in std form - you can get hid bulbs for them
they also have a habit of misting up making the problem worse

Paul Cundy makes a set of lens covers for the gto(3) that fit in

to fit the later light/covers to an early clam is a lot of work and would need the clam to be cut

overall its a lot of work to get you a poorer beam and condensation

i'm happy to stick with the earlier look and to be honest think it suits the car better

each to their own i suppose but for me the lights on the eary models are my only disslike

I am sorry Gadge, I have done this swap over, and the 3R lights are a LOT better than the 3 lights in terms of night driving...

I am sorry Gadge, I have done this swap over, and the 3R lights are a LOT better than the 3 lights in terms of night driving...

I have a 3R, but I just got mine converted to HID. Haven't got it back yet so haven't been able to test it out.

But everyone tells me it will be a lot better.
