Cadwell Park video footage
Discussion
Having just bought a new trackday bullet-cam system I decided to hook it up and record a couple of laps up at Cadwell Park. For a budget system, the picture/sound quality seems alright.
A bit of a wet day, but lots of fun!

Great vid mate and good driving
Looked like tricky conditions!
I've recently purchased an eunos as a road./track toy and am really looking forward to doing a day at cadwell, the circuit looks ideal for 5's.
Whats the cars spec? Looks to handle nicely.
Thanks! I found that the rain was easier to deal with as it was consistant everywhere. The conditions were a bit trickier as it started to dry out and the track then had wet and dry zones.I've recently purchased an eunos as a road./track toy and am really looking forward to doing a day at cadwell, the circuit looks ideal for 5's.

The car is a standard 1996 1.8, but does now have the Gaz Gold coilovers kit as it was on 4x4 settings when I first bought it! In terms of the damper settings, I'm sure it can probably made to go 'faster', but I'm happy that the current set up makes it predictable and 'forgiving' to drive hard.
The only other stuff is a s/s exhaust from MX5 Parts and a new air filter and a full 'fast-road' geo alignment done by WiM. Car runs on Toyo T1-R tyres.
There was a 1.6 track-spec MX5 running on the day that had been totally stripped out and tuned exclusively for track driving - that was a lot quicker than my car as you'd expect.

Smashing vid Matt.
Not seen an in-car (single) view that can capture the track, steering wheel and feet before. Good vid for anyone having a go at heel and toe.
Pete
Thanks Pete. The view was more a result of the only place I could position the camera. At first I had it on the rear strut brace but that was too low showing lot's of the dash and not much of the track ahead. Not seen an in-car (single) view that can capture the track, steering wheel and feet before. Good vid for anyone having a go at heel and toe.

The camera position on the video was when I clamped it onto the metal roof beam that runs across the roof.
In terms of 'heel and toe', it something I am trying to learn/work on - there are probably more examples in the clip of what not to do!

Whats the spec of the camera system?
It's the Mini DVR 2 system from Dogcam. Pretty much the cheapest system they do, but the audio/visual quality is perfect for my needs. I thought it good value as well.http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/mini-dvr-2-helmet-cam...
