Got the grin back

Finally got her back on the road today, So far I have replaced all bushes with Powerflex inc bolt kit, wheel bearings,Upper ball joints,track rods, two wishbones, Act cherrybomb exhaust,all wishbones and outriggers cleaned repainted and waxoiled.
Engine work inc new cam, followers, multi key timing chain kit , pushrods,rockers, 2x valves, head gaskets plus all other gaskets needed, pulley tensioner, Act carbon trumpets, act smooth bore pipes, silcone coolant pipes, stainless radiator pipes, pre-cats removed, pre-load set, cam timing set, fuel filter, oil and oil filter, air filter etc etc
Interior inc full carpet set,veneer dash and heater panal,rear speakers fitted, new front speakers, stereo system, Alloy handbrake lever stalks and dash buttons.
also had the front end reprayed
Everything I did myself (exept the respray) with an army of helpers via pistonheads so a big thanks to all that answered my many questions.

Well done . . . mines still in pieces as I get older I seem to be getting increasingly anal about stuff and it takes 4 times as long to put it back together . .

I couldn't work out why your exhaust looked different to normal, but just realised that the tailpipes have not been slash cut, did you choose them like that ?

Only took it for a small drive as its not had the geometry done yet so didn't want to really open it up until I know everything is aligned ok.

Its got the trackday silencers in at the moment, with all the starting and reving in the garage at home I put them in to try keep the peace with the neighbours, just forgot to remove them when I went for a drive. Its actualy got the old straight through system back on for now as I had problems mounting the new pipe which is on its way back to be sorted.

What track day silencers do you have? The only ones I have seen are the ACT bolt on versions.

these ones they just slot straight into the tail pipe

Fantastic, many thanks for the link. They look great.

I was thinking about fitting the full ACT decat, manifolds and Cherry bombs at some point. I don't think the neighbours appreciate the standard 500 noise let alone any louder so I was conmsidering some ACT bolt on track day silencers. The ones you have seem much more suited for day to day use.
