So winter tyre users of PH, when are you planning to swap back to your summer tyres?.

Depends on the weather, but normally at the end of this month, give or take a week or two.

Still round about freezing here, but I don't think we'll have much more snow. I'll probably change end of the month, or when the tyres feel 'funny'.

Was in Euroland on the weekend, -7 during my drive at night & 200m away they had 20cm of snow on the Autobahns. It's currently freezing here at home in Dorset now, so no rush just yet. I'll wait till the frosts stop.

Likewise minus 2.5 here. Will change when temps are over 7-8 consistently.

Normally on UK cars I'd be changing any week now, but considering almost every day in the last week and for the next five will contain a journey that is done in temperatures of 0C or below then not for a week yet for certian.

Then there will be another week when it's sat at Thiefrow in which case the changeover will be late March at a guess.

On the Swedish cars, NAFC, even the sea is still frozen.

Not for a while yet, as above there's still a lot of cold around. We're away at Easter so maybe when I collect the car from Gatwick on the way back.

Was quite cold overnight here ( -10 ) and was -7 on drive to work. Daytime temps seem to get up to 6/7 or even 8 degrees C in the lovely sun but by teatime it's down to 3 or 4 deg C before the biting cold extends its icy grip.
Leaving mine on for a bit longer yet - only an hour to change over so doesn't worry me

Was -4 here last night. Shame I'm off winters on the Mondeo (don't have them for that car yet). I'd be running them until Easter probably.

Late April for me probably- I'm usually disorganised to book the car in to the garage to get the wheels swapped over.

Why would you need a garage to change wheels? It's an hour's job even with the car's OE jack, less if you spend £30 on a trolly jack and decent wheel brace.

Some people value their time at more than £30/hr?

And also living in Switzerland I wouldn't be surprised if the garage look after his summer tyres throughout winter, swap them over for him, and then look after his winter tyres throughout summer.

That doesn't make sense. By the time you take the car to the garage, wait, or go back for it, the job would have been done.

He's got to go to the garage anyway to pick up his tyres - they store them for you in Switzerland and swap them for you.

Fair point, I forgot that not everyone lives in a third world country like the UK. smile
