boring.

I nominate Left 4 dead. Looks great! I mean what could be more fun than running around shooting zombies? well, you would think that but after playing for 5 minutes I just started to get really bored with it.

It may have this 'director' for adaptive gameplay but to be honest if I have cleared a room why keep making them reappear?

Then you get the same special zombies. Oh look a boomer (again).

The world has no animation in it. Everything is dead (haha) but I mean nothing operates or plays. Cars are just left there doing nothing. I want to drive or fly or something.

So all you do is run around with your 'mates' shooting the same hoard over and over again

All in all a great idea on paper but gameplay I give it 2.

any others?

seriously have you tried it online with your mates after a few beers??

Personally I nominate anything that has "next gen gaming" in the title as that normally means fancy graphics poor game play and bugger all content.

I found Modern Warfare 2 boring, I loved the first one but got bored of the second one after a few days.

Too Human was a bit of a let down...

Beautiful fluid gameplay but everything else was clunky. Really hope they bring out a 2nd installment to smooth out the 1st one's shortcommings...

Street Fighter (The Xbox one)

It's biggest appeal also crippled it for me... You might as well just play it on a Nintendo. Nothing new... just flashy 3 Models... Looked great, gaming nirvana of the retro kind... but... meh, "I've played this before".

I gave up on L4D2 after about three minutes, I got so fed up with having to help my idiotic teammates and didn't have a clue what was supposed to be happening. I also found Shaun White Snowboarding rather dull, which surprised me as I really like the Tony Hawk style of game.

MAG for me - Bought it, played it just didn't like it so I put it on ebay. Strangely enough Bad Company 2 isn't that different but I love that game, while MAG feels a bit crap.

Gears of War series. Stunning graphics, but it's like playing a bloody lazerdisc game from the 80s.

Do you want to take the left path or the right? WTF - No I want to just wander down that path without having the flow of the game utterly ruined. I also want to be able to jump over a hand rail down into the areas below me - I'm a bloody supersoldier FFS, yet I'm stopped by a handrail rolleyes

Yup, I instantly disliked MAG for some reason. I love BC2, my only grip being the slightly choppy/jumpy framerate, MW2 is rock solid smooth the whole time.

Gran Turis...

Recently Operation Flashpoint - Dragon Rising comes to mind, could have been highly engaging, but ended up being a battle against bugs rather than the enemy.

L4D2 is all about the multiplayer and coordinating a team of 4 real people, I only used single player to learn the maps and it's only really there so you have something to do if your internet is down. There are about 6 game modes and since 5 are online multiplayer that kind of tells you something about how it's expected to be played!

I loved the GoW games, they are very linnear but there's still a lot to enjoy. They're more tactical than simply running around like a madman, on Insane difficulty you really have to work hard to make progress.

Horde mode on GoW2 is one of my favourite games, superb.

I bought L4D recently as I usually wait for games to drop to budget price before I buy them, I'm finding it ok, but not nearly as good as I thought it would be.

Am the opposite on that one, the only game I've played through three times. May give it another go at the weekend.

To be fair it isn't that bad. In fact as a multiplayer racing game I've had more fun and closer realistic races on Race Pro than I've ever had on a Forza title, which I why I won't be trading my copy in for a long while. For Solo stuff like bombing around the 'ring agains the clock I'll fire up FM3, if I want to race someone its Race Pro.

Plus it has Spa wink
