I'm guessing Jim Camerons offices would be not a nice work enviroment today.

You spend 12 years making a movie which will change the course of film making costing $250million. It becomes the highest grossing movie ever. And then the Oscars go to....

Your ex-wifes two bit movie about the Iraq War which made about 20p.

roflroflroflrofl

I'm guessing some people in Oscar land have been waiting those 12 years for payback for all that "I'm the King of the World!!" bks when Titanic won. Well, that and you can't have a movie about smurfs winning Best Film can you?

To be fair: Avatar won best visual effects.

Which sounds about right.

And I'm sure that this morning Mr Cameron will have a good snigger and go back to enjoying a pleasant breakfast whilst reviewing the enormous contents of his various bank accounts.

The Oscars aren't supposed to be about who made the most money...

Precisely. HL is a much better overall film than Avatar. Avatar was good, but the effects had to be amazing to make up for the done-a-thousand-times-before and cliched characters and storyline.
