Done anything strange lately?

I mean things that, with an explanation, are quite reasonable but, at first sight, seem bizarre.
My example: I spent an hour hoovering the back lawn yesterday.
Most people would think that looked a bit strange but we have a couple of large Acers which, every autumn, shed tens of thousands of winged seeds.
They look unsightly and, if left, would produce tree seedlings all over the lawn. The leaf sucker jams up when it tries to shred them. The lawn rake mixes them in with perfectly compostable leaves, dead grass and moss. The wet & dry garage vac. does the job.
