I have a Windows 7 machine under my telly which is connected to my AV Amp via HDMI and it works fine until I turn the amp and TV off. When I turn them back on again the screen is blank and nothing I do brings it back to life. I know the PC is still running fine becasue I can browse the directory structure from another machine on my network

So, any idea what is going on?

Either the TV is not detecting a signal from the PC on being switched back on or the graphics card driver is not detecting that the TV is back on.

I had the issue a couple of weeks ago with a Mac connected to the TV via my processor and resolved it by setting the input to HDMI, rather than Auto. Otherwise, a new graphics driver might resolve it.

Thanks. It worked fine under Vista and I'm running the latest video driver

Odd, because my Windows 7 Media Center had problems of this kind under Vista some time ago, but has been problem-free under Windows 7.
