Is it possible for sync folders on 2 different computers automatically? Desktop runs Vista and the laptop runs XP, but have a few folders that i would like to keep updated on both computers on an on-going basis automatically over the network.

Any ideas?

Have you looked at dropbox? As long as it's not much storage you want (2GB), you can install it on 2 computers, and access those folders from either computer or just any computer with internet access? If you want a referal (you get an extra 250MB for each referral made and we would both get that 250MB if I refer you), give me a shout smile

I've just installed windows live sync, you can sync folders between elected computers, works at folder level which I find better than file by file.

Just noticed Microsoft also do a cloud computing method called "mesh" which looks interesting.

Review linky below.

I also use Windows Live Sync extensively. I use it across 8 PCs with 16 folders in sync, some with 15K+ files in each. It is robust and reliable and very simple. It's slightly bloated in comparison to the original version by (IIRC) Yellow Taxi, but it's pretty good. I've played with lots of other sync toys and always come back to Live Sync for the reasons described above.
