number plate question

I have just bought a new [to me tin top car] today from a main Ford dealer and they transfered the private plate

Old ones on my Focus had a black line boarder,GB sign and dealers name also have the BS or AUS number or whatecer it is and a post code of the dealer.

New today on my new car are plain white and yellow no outline boarder, the BS No. is just readable it is like its etched into the plastic Just the dealers web sight www.hartwell.co.uk on the bottom are these leagl to the latter of the law.

why not take the actual plate off your old car and screw it to the new one?
