Before i break the mirror motor........

Hi, can anyone decipher the JTIS for me with regard to removing the mirror glass on an XKR.
Motor the mirror to inward it says, but shows a pic of the mirror facing outwards?
I know they can be tight but want to know if im levering the right end before i apply too much force and snap the clips off! Im pulling on the end nearest the window without any joy at mo.

if you gently lever on the inner edge of the glass while pulling on the outer edge the glass should come off
