i was at bedford on 28th feb 2010
it was a 101db day and a F430 Scuderia was 109db on idol BUT did get a few laps in the last 45mins of track time with a special noise pass which are very few and far between!!

sorry but i dont have a clue if they use the same exhaust but at least it might help

I think it's a 87.5 drive by which is very low, we failed with a super charged atom about 3 weeks ago, no second chance at Bedford if your over your going home ?

Cameras are allowed - provided they are properly mounted, which hardly seems unreasonable.
I hate the noise rules too ... but there is little point complaining as the places with high noise limits are getting few and far between. Unfortunately now it's just a fact of life frown

It can be below 100db static for evenings too. I think it was 96 or 98 at the last one I went to.

Shockingly a TVR Sagaris passed, but I don't know if he was having to hold back past the mics.

If in doubt you can arrange to go up and get tested beforehand for little or no fee. Not done it, but I have a vague feeling you can even get a couple of laps done in the process. smile

i think bedford is usually 100DB static.

there was a F430 scud at bedford on the 22nd feb, but don't know if it would have passed the noise test as it was cancelled due to snow.

No it isn't,

You have to pass the static which may be 100db as we did to even be alowed on the circuit, but if you exceed 87.5 on the drive by it's home time.

I have a race system on my scud which weirdly is a little quieter than standard.
i called Bedford and asked them if they could noise test prior to a day i was attending there (see the thread track days, what if it snows)
the static limit there is 101. they were testing and revved to 4000 with a measured 102db static. they then did the drive by several times and said that the car was well under (no butterfly valve) and that if I turned up for the track day I would be able to drive even though i failed the static as long as I did not exceed the drive by (of which there are 4!)

A 430 was at Goodwood on a day we did last year. He passed the static noise test and was ok on drive by until really gunning it (do they have a valve that opens???) past the pits. Bit of finger weagging next time round and he kept the loud pedal a bit less, um, loud and was fine.

Eh? I have DIY headrest mount, which has been inspected at both Brands and Bedford and had no problems.

They just don't allow suction mounted ones...

Hang on - is that right? Every time I have been noise tested has been 3/4 max rpm, which for a Fezza will be over 6 grand...

they tested it at that! snetterton always ask for 6.25k and it has tested at 101 in the rain and 99 in the dry.
