As per wedding venue thread, Mrs Gad-westy-to-be and I will be getting married somewhere in Yorkshire early next year.

Have started having a peruse for appropriate transport for myself and the best man to arrive at the church in. This doesn't really need planning yet but if she's allowed to look at dresses already then this is my equivalent!

So any recommendations for Classic Hire? A few ideas:
Jaguar E-Type (early FHC or convertible, no 2+2's please) or an XK140 would be amazing
Lotus Elan
Mercedes SL Pagoda
Ferrari Dino/308/328
Classic Aston
Porsche 911/912 (60's -70's vintage)

Open to other ideas.

Budget I guess would be £500 ish for 48 hours. Hope that's doable.

I'm best man at my mates wedding, so I went for a Caterham thumbup

a) Will look bloody good turning up at a wedding in that
b) For the rest of the weekend, I have some of the best roads in the country to play on in a Caterham.

£400 for the weekend driving

I had thought about a Caterham but have owned a couple of Westfields in the past so was quite keen to have something different. Its certainly a possibility though and I'm sure the Best man would appreciate it. Where did you hire your's if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers Scott. Not had Email through but have taken a look at your site. Your rates look very competitive. Like I said, I'm possibly looking for something a little more 'classic/elegant' and I'm a little worried about weather as the wedding will be early in the year.

All that said though, I'll certainly bear you in mind as I do like my Sevens.

It's amazing - we get loads more people coming from much further away. Need to get off my ar$e and do some local marketing. SV is out today with a local chap which is good.

With father's day coming up in the next few months, it'd be worth getting some local ads done - I for one would be more inclined to hire a car locally than if it meant trailing miles to pick one up.
