So, stuck at work, on nights, offshore in a control room and it's my frickin' birthday (and I had to buy everyone a coke and a mars bar! Bond (or shop for you non-offshore types) prices are a rip-offeek) What's the worst place you've spent your birthday?

Yep same here, although my birthday is in May so I catch the exams no matter what. Worst part is that not only do I usually have an exam on my actual birthday, but everyone else is revising for theirs too, so the night out isn't as good either!

Yeah most of my friends get January exams due to their courses so nights out aren't great. I've taken to becoming like the queen and having 2 birthdays. July provides a lot more fun!

Enjoy your birthday. wink

Spent my birthday a few years ago in hospital. Then last year in the unemployment agency. Can't decide which is worse. Being in front of NHS doctors or the JSA plebs.

I'm 50 in three days time. Luckily I'm not offshore at the moment, but even so I'm hoping like hell nobody has planned any silly surprise party or other such guff.

Besides, don't you get free Coke offshore? We do. Mars bars are like gold though. biggrin

Pah. My birthday is in June. I spent my birthday doing my O Levels, A Levels and University exams. The one year it actually worked out well I did my last ever final Uni exam on my birthday, then went home (to halls) to find the cleaners had put on a birthday party for me and a pal with the same birthday.

The exam finished at 1:00pm. By 3:00pm I was stuffed full of cake and mildly drunk. IIRC I spent the remaining hours in the girlfriend. A nice day.

It's alright for some! Our cleaners (Who are due in shortly, so i'm being careful with what i say) Are the most uncaring (And anti-chinese) people you'll ever meet. I did get a cake made for me on my birthday though by my flat mates, so wasn't all bad.

It's just another day.

Order your Mum some flowers (if she is alive/ known to you), job done, then get on with it.

On my own.

I'd had a great weekend celebrating my birthday but my birthday was the Monday. Thought I'd be fine as I'd enjoyed time with family and friends already. Mon am was at home, started wk pm for late shift finished 9pm and was on call. Being alone that day except for my stint at work was miserable, took me by suprise!

I don't think so. They just constantly moan about them too us. Which makes for awkward conversations.

Spent my 21st birthday working a 2pm-10pm shift in a factory that made incontinence pads for old people. Wearing a 'Look Who's 21' t-shirt my parents made with a baby photo of me on it. Happy days!
