Edinburgh - April 1st - 4th - Attractions and what to see?

I am off to Edinburgh with my wife for a weekend away.

Any ideas on places to visit or events that are worth attending?

Camera Obscura
Calton Hill
Scott Monument
Arthur's Seat
All the free galleries modern and traditional.

Shackleton and Scott exhibition in the Queen's gallery is worth a look and still on when you're here.

Castle is a definate, take the free guided tour (well worth it) try to be at the castle for the 1pm cannon firing

Royal Yacht Brittania, surprising how basic everything is

If you have a car drive across the water and have a look around the countryside, should be able to find a whiskey distillery close by

Love Edinburgh, one of my favourite places. Don't know if they still do them but the bus tours by Guide Friday are a great way to get the feel of the place.
