Are Lotus or Noble our distance cousin or rivalry relatives?

Occasionally, but more often than not they'll ignore you, especially Elise drivers, must be a 'CCs inferiority complex'

Had three particular mates all ex. same school, early 70's, drove, drank and messed about together. One had a Marcos, one a Ginetta, one a Lotus and I had a TVR 1800S. All amazing British Sports cars, all cousins with a bit of rivalry. Good times, good memories.

Had 2 Elises' would gladly have another Lotus, I see them as a similar breed to TVR but just take another road to get their cars to go fast, no doubt a misquote but Colin Chapman's philosophy of 'To go faster add lightness' is a million miles away from TVR's 'To go faster add more grunt!' both do the job but in different ways.

Wish I could get my Cerb' to handle as well as one of my Elises' did. :-)

I would wave at a TVR when i overtake it in my Audi engined Elise Have to say i'm so lucky to have both. So different and just as great.

I keep waving at other cars when in the wrong car! Then I get loads or weird looks.

I'd acknowledge any interesting/unusual cars if I'm out in something suitable. I wouldn't see Lotus or Noble as direct rivals to TVR (or indeed my current toy), but I think being slightly unusual low volume sports cars they're connected through being the enthusiasts choice rather than simply a posseurs platform.
