Sky + and Sky HD

Right I have Sky + and love it. Mum's looking at getting only sky +
But Sky are only doing the Sky HD box now and she does not need HD or want it. So Anyone know if I can swap my Sky + box for her HD box and I just add the HD channels to my account and also keep my cards and she has her basic package while I have the movies etc?

Well as far as I'm aware the boxes are paired to the card so technically yes you could swap but sky would need to pair your card with the hd box and your mum's card with your sky + box. However not sure if your mum would be in a contract and if sky would have any issue with you swapping the boxes.
